Manager for Chemistry & Radio Chemistry

Minerva Imaging is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, and scientifically driven CRO with the ambition to be the globally leading CRO in our area of expertise. We aim to excel in delivering customized cancer radiopharmaceutical research and serve as an extended research team for our collaborators. To facilitate continued growth, we seek a dedicated and skilled Manager to lead our Chemistry and Radio Chemistry Group.

You will be joining a group consisting of 7 skilled scientists who all take great responsibility for delivering high-quality data. The successful candidate has experience with people management and can balance the role between setting the direction and motivating the chemistry and radio chemistry group and coordinating activities with our pharmacology groups. The Group Leader reports to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).

Your Role
You will take leadership of the chemistry and radiochemistry group and lead the development of the capabilities within the group in relation to the overall strategy of Minerva Imaging. You will ensure timelines are met within the radio chemistry group and have a continuous focus on quality standards and quality improvements. The research activities are focused on the oncology space, and we aim to be at the forefront of R&D in the targeted radionuclide therapy area. We have the ambition to make a difference for our clients, collaborating on advancing new treatment modalities for patients. It is therefore essential that you have a flexible attitude, are willing to step in and support colleagues, and are able to make necessary decisions. You facilitate and improve scientific collaboration across functions by supporting your group members to be curious and share knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a chemistry and radio chemistry team consisting of PhD level scientists, scientists, and lab technicians
  • Provide expert radio chemistry knowhow and feedback 
  • Participate in the development of our capabilities at Minerva Imaging, including supporting the identification of new areas of interest for us and our collaborators 
  • Study-related tasks include contact with collaborators, protocol review and writing, data analysis, and guidance on report writing and review 

Your Profile
To succeed in this position, you should have a PhD in natural or life sciences and preferably at least 3 years of post-graduate experience with: 
  • Proven track record in people- or project management 
  • Motivation for planning and coordination
  • Practical experience with isotopes is an advantage
  • Quality and detail-oriented mindset and excellent data presentation and analysis skills
  • Ability to drive projects on your own and thrive working with tight deadlines
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
